Nintendo’s on fire again. I’m sure you’re well aware of people’s love (and chaotic behavior) for PokémonGo. Well right on the heels of all that, Nintendo has announced the coming release of a mini NES system called NES Classic Edition; a shrunken down NES box preloaded with 30 classic Nintendo games that will bring some great memories most people between ages 21 and 40 . Since TVs today don’t have the same cable inputs as the TV’s that were around in the nineties, you really can’t hook up an old NES without a bunch of complicated adapters or getting an old TV. So Nintendo decided to deliver a pretty smart product to us all.
The icing on this cake is that the box, which includes an NES controller, an HDMI cable and preloaded games we mentioned, is only going to cost $60. Now that’s a deal! Especially with a November 11th 2016 launch date, I get the feeling this is going to be flying off the store shelves this holiday season.
Here’s a list of the games that will be pre-loaded:
Balloon Fight, Bubble Bobble, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, Galaga, Ghosts’ N Ghoblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure, Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, StarTropics, SUPER C, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
The only problem I have with this release, and it’s a big problem! Where the heck is Contra?
